How gear is chosen
Our editors choose every featured object independently. We cover objects for a life in transit: luggage, audio, connectivity, cabin comfort, writing instruments, and the small systems that make long journeys better. Makers, distributors, and readers may suggest products; suggestions do not buy coverage.
How products are evaluated
Most gear coverage is compiled from published specifications, maker materials, and verified reporting. Each product page states its basis plainly. We do not claim hands-on testing we have not done. Where a product page carries a price, the price was verified against the cited source on the stated date; prices change, and the retailer's page is authoritative.
Paid consideration, never paid verdicts
Makers may pay a consideration fee for our editors to evaluate a product for coverage. Consideration is not coverage: most submitted products are not featured, the fee is non-refundable, and it never influences the verdict. Sponsored features are a separate format, produced with a partner and always labeled as paid features on the page.
Photography
We use real photography of real products: maker-supplied press imagery or license-clear photographs, credited on each product page. We never present generated imagery as a real product.
Corrections
Specifications change and mistakes happen. We correct errors promptly and note material corrections on the page. Factual corrections: see our contact page.
